How many winners does a Trixie need?

You’ll need at least 2 winners out of your 3 selections. Two winners pays out from one double. Get all 3 in and you collect from all 3 doubles plus the treble.

How does a Trixie differ from a Patent?

A Patent throws in singles (7 bets in total), so a single winner is enough to guarantee a return. A Trixie skips the singles (just 4 bets), so you need at least 2 winners, but it costs you less overall.
